Dr. Jibesh Patra and Prof. Dr. Michael Pradel, two researchers of the Software Lab, are receiving the ACM SIGSOFT Distinguished Paper Award at ESEC/FSE 2021. The award is for their groundbreaking work on automatically creating realistic bugs using deep learning. Distinguished paper awards are given to at most 10% of all papers accepted at the highly selective conference ESEC/FSE, which is one of the flagship publication venues in Software Engineering.
